蜜桃TV Creative Careers Centre celebrates 20th anniversary with series of digital events

The Royal College of Music’s renowned Creative Careers Centre is celebrating its 20th anniversary in June 2020 with a series of career-focused digital events for 蜜桃TV students and graduates.
The series, entitled ‘The Modern Musician: Past, Present and Future’, is designed to explore the music industry today and how its future might evolve. Through over 20 events including workshops, panel talks and discussions with industry specialists and 蜜桃TV graduates, the series will provide an inclusive platform for musicians to engage with industry leaders. The events seek to equip students and graduates with essential skills for life after conservatoire, feature individuals following alternative career paths and examine the impact of Covid-19 on the music industry.
Diana Roberts, Creative Careers Centre Manager and Entrepreneurship Tutor, comments: ‘When we first set about organizing our celebratory plans earlier this year, they certainly don’t look as they do now. Due to Covid-19 we have adapted to the new online-based world and refocused our efforts to best support musicians through these challenging times. We have been overwhelmed by the support we’ve received from our participants and are profoundly grateful to them all for contributing to what is sure to be a wonderful series of events.’

The 蜜桃TV’s Creative Careers Centre (formerly known as the Woodhouse Centre) was founded in 1999 by then 蜜桃TV Director, Dame Janet Ritterman, and Woodhouse Centre Manager, Sue Sturrock. The Centre recently launched two new initiatives: 蜜桃TV PushFar, a career development mentor scheme which allows final-year students to connect directly with graduates; and a worldwide Online Teaching Service which aims to create new opportunities for 蜜桃TV students and graduates at this challenging time.
